We believe in Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation of our students for their holistic development. Continuous stands for assessment of the student throughout the year not just at the end of a term. It may be done formally or informally using different techniques of evaluation. Comprehensive takes care of assessment of all round development of a child’s personality. A child will be assessed not only in terms of his knowledge about a subject but his participation in other activities also. Broadly, we assess a child’s growth in two areas- Scholastic and Co scholastic.

Scholastic areas include: - Formative and Summative assessments. Each term covers two formative assessments and one summative assessment. Also it includes one mid-term test in each term.

Co-Scholastic areas will be assessed on life skills, attitudes and values, literary and creative skills, scientific and aesthetic skills, health and physical education etc.

Grade 1 to 3: The students will be assessed on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), the evaluation process will be done by the teacher simultaneously during the class or through scheduled class test on all the subjects, thus no formal exams schedules. The assessment includes class work, homework, assignments, activities, oral tests, projects etc. A minimum of 8 cycles of CCE in an academic year will be conducted and a minimum of ‘C’ grade to be obtained by the student.

The whole academic year is divided in to two terms.

First Term: - April to September

Second Term: - October to March

The performance of a child in scholastic area will be assessed in terms of marks.  Marks will be converted into grades as per the following pattern:

Minimum qualifying grade in all subjects under Scholastic domain is D.

ATTENDANCE

  • No pupil shall be eligible for promotion unless he/she puts in an attendance of 80% during an academic year.
  • Every absence must be enlisted in the leave record page of school diary and signed by parent/guardian.
  • Absence for more than three days should be informed to the principal in writing
  • No leave is granted on examination days, the first and last working days except on medical ground
  • Leave application on medical ground should be supported by a medical certificate.
  • Absence for a period of 15 days or more without submitting a leave note will result in the removal of the pupils name from the rolls
